This is a graceful susohiki from pre WWII. Susohiki literally means 'trail the skirt' and it was worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room. It has long length compared to usual kimono and bottom is padded. It has elegant flowers and leaves motif, which is dyed with yuzen technique colorfully. Stream is also dyed and some parts are added fine embroidery. Please check more photos for the wonderful details! Textile is silk and has soft smooth touch. There are some stains, and discoloration of the purple background color is comparatively prominent in some parts. However, as a whole it is in very good condition. *Approx background color - HTML code ( ECCAFF)
