This is a blue nagoya obi from mid-Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has charming 'karako'(karako is child figure in China) motifs, which are dyed tastefuly. Some of the motif parts are painted. Textile is silk and has soft smooth touch. There are a few small stains on the narrow part. Dyed parts are getting dried and stiff. Black painted part(hair of the karako) is starting to peel but as a whole, it is in very good condition. *Approx background color - HTML code ( 474FBA)
