This is a kimono silk fabric cut into houmongi shape and stitched roughly before sewing to make houmongi. Kimono is made of a bolt of cloth which is 14.2" in width.
This houmongi has elegant flowers motifs with Japanese fan shape, which are dyed with yuzen technique. Some parts have fine embroidery.
Textile is rinzu silk, and has soft touch.
It has some noticeable stains but as a whole, it is in a very good condition..
It must be an excellent material for your handicraft!
*You need a lining fabric to sew houmongi from this fabric. And sewing houmongi is very difficult, and it is a work for professionals.
