This is a rare black uchikake from mid Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
It has bold 'tsuzumi'(Japanese hand drum) and cloud motif, which is colorfully dyed and embroidered. Its design is exotic and gorgeous!
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some snags, patinas and a dyestuff stain as photos show. As a whole it is in very good condition.
