This is an AMAZING uchikake from Meiji period(1868-1912). It has such a tasteful water fall scenery with artistic phoenix motifs, which are dyed and ELABORATELY embroidered! Please check more photos to see the wonderful details of yuzen and embroidery work! Textile is chirimen(fine crepe) silk and has such soft touch. This chirimen silk is very very thin and you can almost see through it!
There are some flaws as in the photos. Tears in the back by the bottom are prominent, but considering its age, it is in good condition.
