This is a rare firemen's jacket set from late Edo Priod( 1603-1867) or very early Meiji period(1868-1912).
'Bushi'(samurai) wore this type of jacket at fire, and hoisted a flag on the horse.
This is made of beautiful blue
tsumugi cotton, and kamon part is made of patchwork and embroidery.
(2) is chest pad, and (3) is head belt.
Jacket has some stains and holes. White lapel part is fabric-missing part(frayed and most of fabrics are missing). Chest pad and head belt also have stains and holes.
However, it is still very valuable piece!
