This is a cute small 'mawashi', sumo wrestler's pants.
It was used by a boy, might be at the festival.
It seems to be from mid Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
It is made of wool, and kanji character 'Taki'(waterfall) is made of applique.
The other side is made of jinken(rayon) fabric and has nostlgic baseball motif pattern.
Owner boy's name is written in the cord part.
Bottom threads part are missing partly. There are some stains in the both sides. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
