This is a nagoya obi from pre WWII. It has many kinds of decorated sea shell, which have kimono people and elegant flower motifs. These sea shells are for an ancient shell matching game - 'kaiawase'. All the motifs are dyed very artistically. Please check more photos for the wonderful details! The textile is silk and has medium touch. There are several stains, smudge, and patina on both wide and narrow parts. Narrow part is also discolored and stitiches by the wide part is coming loose but as a whole, it is in a very good condition. *Approx background color - HTML code ( E5DBA1)
