This maru obi is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It is made of transparent ro silk, and has graceful flowers pattern in both sides.
Rose, peony and other flowers are dyed boldly, and some parts are added embroidery.
Please enjoy its fantastic old fashioned taste of Taisho period(1912-1925).
It seems not to be used. However, there are small or slight patinas at places. There also are very slight smudges, however, as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this appealing Taisho summer maru obi! ( Vintage summer maru obi has approx 30-40% blank part of full length like fukuro obi.)
