This is a maru obi from pre WWII. It has boldly designed peacock with 'matsu'(pine tree) and bamboo motifs, which are woven elaborately. It looks very tasteful and eye-catching. The textile is silk-jinken blend and has comparatively stiff touch. There are slight fray and snags at places but as a whole, it is in a very good condition. *Approx background color - HTML code ( 534F15)
