This is a vintage sakiori rug from pre WWII.
Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.The rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.
It has beautiful check pattern!
It has smudge at places and noticeable holes, most flaws appear on one side. As a whole, it is in a very good condition.
