This is a contemporary opened nagoya obi from mid-Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has colorful 'seigaiha'(wave) motifs, which are woven finely with tsume tsuzure technique. One threads by one threads, it was woven elaborately with nails, and it had to be taken incredibly long time to be completed. The textile is silk and has medium touch. There are several noticeable patina by the side hems but as a whole, it is in a very good condition. *Approx background color - HTML code ( EBBDF6)
