This is a magnificent Geisya's susohiki kimono from mid Showa period(Showa:1926-1989) or earlier.
It has APPEALING design - ' Kanjincho ' motif is dyed boldly.
Kanjincho is one of the popular kabuki play, which is about Yoshitsune and Benkei .
What a FABULOUS design it is!
Susohiki literally means 'trail the skirt' and it was worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room. It has very long length and eye-catching design.
Geisha house's kamon is added.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some stains, patinas and slight discoloration. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this fabulous susohiki!
