This is a gorgeous big uchishiki, fabric for Buddhist altar. From the characters in the other side, we can know it is from Taisho 4(1916). It has gorgeous peony and paulownia motif pattern, which is woven elaborately.
Textile is silk and lined with cotton.
It has some stains, frays and a hole. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
