This is a set of purple irotomesode from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
It is made of kinsha(fine crepe) silk, and has graceful 'ryozuma' ( mirror image design, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII) pattern, which is dyed with yuzen technique.
In the bodice of under kimono, it has colorful stripe pattern, which is dyed with 'ita-jime' technique. 'Ita-jime' is the also called 'Kyoukechi'. 'Ita' means 'wood board', and 'jime' means 'sandwich and tighten'. Two wood boards have pattern, which are carved. Textile is sandwiched between two boards, and dystuff is poured the through the hole of the board. So the carved part is dyed with pigment. Textile can be folded and dyed, so the large part can be dyed at once.
It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
