This is a fabulous maru obi from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
It is made of ro, summer sheer silk and has soft and dry touch.
It has elegant flowers/tsuzumi(Japanese hand drum) motif, which is dyed with yuzen technique. Some parts of the both sides are added embroidery.
It seems not to be used. However, there are two slight discolored bands along two folding line(only one side) and couple of small uneven spots of weaving.
As a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this fantastic summer maru obi!
