This purple irotomesode is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989). It has exceptionally artistic yuzen work - 'karako'(karako is child figure in China) and flowers are dyed in 'ryozuma' ( mirror image design, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII) shape. Its dyeing work is very skilled and some parts are added fine embroidery. It has fantastic old fashioned taste! Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
