This is a wonderful fukusa from Meiji period(1868-1912). It has takasaga motif, which is embroidered beautifully. The baby birds on the 'matsu'(pine tree) look veyr charming. Kamon on the back is also embroidered. There are other great details so please check more photos. The textile is silk and has soft smooth touch.
There are several snags, patina, and stains in front and back. Due to the age of this fukusa, brown threads are missing on the crane motifs. However as a whole it is in very good condition.
