This is a stunning shoubou banten, jacket for firemen jacket.
It is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989), and has stunning design.
It is reversible, and one side has 'matoi'( mark for firemen group) and another side has kanji character 'shou'( extinguish ).
Textile is thick layered cotton, and sashiko stitches are done elaborately. One stitches by one stitch, it was hand sewn elaborately. Please check the detail photos.
It has stunning long length.
