This is a vintage ohenro jacket(pilgrimage) made of asa, Japanese hemp.
It has exotic 'bonji'(ancient Buddhist character), sutra and 'nio'(guardians of the temple) motifs are dyed. Please enjoy its wonderful details with more photos
Textile has special kind of (comparatively)stiff and crispy touch of asa.
It has patinas and slight discoloration, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
