This juban(undergarment) is re-made of antique kimono. It is from ending Edo Priod( 1603-1867) or early Meiji period(1868-1912), and has INCREDIBLE dyeing and embroidery work all over it. Flowers, bamboo, house, garden and stream motifs are dyed and embroidered all over it! Please enjoy its incredible details with more photos.
Textile is valuable chirimen(crepe) silk. It has some flaws as photos show, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
For the real connoisseurs!
