This is a magnificent Geisya's susohiki kimono from mid Showa period(Showa:1926-1989) or earlier.
What an APPEALING design it has! Young samurai and kimono ladies are dyed with cherry blossoms - it is a scene of 'Ohanami'(cherry-blossom viewing) in olden time. Please enjoy its wonderful
yuzen details with more photos.
Susohiki literally means 'trail the skirt' and it was worn to do the elegant dance with a folding fan in the Japanese style drawing room. It has very long length and eye-catching design.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It has some stains and black color is very slightly discolored. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this fabulous susohiki!
