This cute red haori is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989).
It has wonderful flowers and tortoise shell pattern, which is dyed with yuzen technique colorfully.
Sleeves and bodice are gracefully long, which is the feature of kimono from pre WWII.
Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
This is one of good example of the typical beauty of Taisho.
Shoulder is folded and sewn, and if you unpick the seam, shoulder to shoulder size will be 6cm- 2.4in longer.
It has slight or small stains, smudges or patinas, but as a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this fabulous Taisho haori!
