This is a sakiori hanhaba obi. Sakiori is a traditional Japanese technique of rag weaving.The rag strips are cut finely and woven into a tweed-like fabric.
This piece has graceful purple stripe pattern.
It has a few small holes near one end, and very slight smudges, which are not prominent. As a whole it is in very good condition. |
