This maru obi is made of pure silk, and very refined design - tsuzumi(Japanese hand drum), pine tree and chrysanthemu are woven elegantly. Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch.
It is from Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989) and has fantastic old fashioned taste.
It seems not to have stiff lining inside. There are slight frays in the corners, several small stains, a small tear in the hem and a slight folding line. However, as a whole it is in very good condition.
