This is a museum class Kurume kasuri cotton fabric.
This piece has bold castle motif, which was hand woven elaborately. It was from Meiji period(1868-1912) or Taisho period(1912-1925).
Please enjoy its wonderful details with more photos.
It was futon cover of a bride and lining fabric seemed to be added later age.
Textile has medium thickness and has soft touch. Background color is navy.
It has a L shape tear, a few repaired holes and stains or slight discoloration as photos show. As a whole it is in very good condition.
