This is a museum class Kurume Kasuri
Theme of this piece seems to be warship. It is made of 4 Kasuri
fabric, which are elaborately hand embroiered. It was from Meiji period(1868-1912) or Taisho period(1912-1925).

It was futon cover of a bride and lining fabric seemed to be added later age.
We had been looking for this type Kurume Kasuri
for long time, but we couldn't for long time. We recently got these piece from a collector. How happy we can offer this piece at our site!
Textile has medium thickness and has soft touch. Background color is navy.
It has a few stains, and has slight smudges or discoloration. As a whole it is in very good condition.
We highly recommend this RARE RARE piece!
