This fukusa is from Meiji period(1868-1912).
It is made of navy shusu silk, and has wonderful ' Takasago ' motif, which is elaborately embroidered.

Brown threads ( out lines of features ) are coming off. Beige threads of woman's hair has patinas. The other side has several slight stains. As a whole it is in very good condition. |
