This vintage uchikake has graceful woven pattern - ivy leaf is woven very finely. Textile is exquisite silk, and has very soft touch. Textile seems to be from Meiji period(1868-1912), but there is a lapel inside, which reads 'Takashimaya Kimono Store'. Usually this kind of uchikake is lined with red silk, but this piece is lined with beige silk. It seemed to be remade later ( Taisho period(1912-1925) or early Showa period(Showa:1926-1989)). It has gorgeous ume blossom kamon embroidery. This piece is exceptionally refined and appealing! *Approx background color - HTML code ( 908165)
