It's not Friday yet...
It's a leap year this year, so tomorrow is a rarity- February 29th. It's like we get a totally extra day.
Spring is almost here, so it is time to bring out your spring kimono. For me, I know it's spring when I see the flowering white dogwoods and the brilliant golden forsythia.
Still, I think pink is a very spring color. I think cherry blossoms might be the most popular spring motif for kimono? Everyone loves it when the trees become big pink pompoms, so I think I could understand it.
Spring is an important reminder of ephemeral beauty and life, I think.
What am I saying though, it's still winter!
I like komon- Edo komon and yuzen...how completely different the fabric looks when you look at it from far away and up close.
