Hi!

I just wanted to share what I have been doing with some of the beautiful fabrics I have purchased!

I recently bought some medashi that was very beautiful. What drew me to them was the silver and gold threads. They are also very unique. I was concerned with the weight but decided to give it a try.

Above is a piece that I made with the medashi. I used about 1/2 of the medashi for that piece. I really like the silver threads in that piece.

Below is another piece I made with the same medashi. I used al ot less of the medashi because this only has a few petals and is not as large as the top one.
I used a vintage Hollycraft brooch pin as the center that can be removed without any damage done to the piece. I can make about 3 tsumami kanzashi from each piece of medashi, sometimes less depending on style.

I have also bought some vintage kinsha that I used to make the below piece. The fabric has a great feel to it. I just love the dark color with the bright print. It is by far my favorite piece. This one took a lot of time for me to complete with the dangles and all. For this one I used about 2/3 of the fabric panel. This one is very large.
